Thousands remember tribute to Michael Jackson....

Wednesday's public ceremony for Michael Jackson at the Staple Center in Los Angeles left some memorable images.

It was a tribute, fitting for a king.

In the world of pop, Michael Jackson wore the crown.

In an arena filled with close to 18,000 people, a star studded cast of singers, professional athletes and friends also gave a snapshot of Jackson the man.

"Michael was caring and funny, honest, pure, non jaded and a lover of life," said friend and actress Brooke Shields.

Emotional performances and words from the heart Jackson’s 11 year old daughter, Paris Katherine.

"I just want to say my father was the best daddy ever, and I want to say I love him," said Jackson’s daughter.

As he is celebrated in death Jackson’s complicated life remains in the spotlight along with many questions.

A custody battle, Jackson’s will names his mother Katherine as guardian.

It's unclear whether his former wife Debbie Rowe will fight for custody.

A criminal investigation into whether doctors illegally prescribed drugs to the pop star.

And his cause of death.

Toxicology reports are expected within a few weeks.

Even the burial is unclear.

Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills has been mentioned so has Jackson’s beloved Neverland Ranch.

But as the world says good, his music will be his legacy.
