We now know where and when fans will get a chance to say goodbye to Michael Jackson. A public memorial is now scheduled for Tuesday morning at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The arena where Michael Jackson spent the last nights of his life, rehearsing for his comeback tour, will apparently now be the place thousands will gather to say goodbye.

Concert promoter AEG says they released new video today of Jackson’s rehearsals to show Jackson was fit and performing well.

Los Angeles police are already preparing for overflow crowds at the Staples Center, including fans who will likely begin camping out as early as today, many making the 3-to-4 hour drive from Neverland ranch..

"We’re loaded up and ready to go, full tank of gas," fan Peter Recio said.

Hundreds had gathered at the pop star's former compound after earlier rumors of a memorial there.

"I would really like to see him return here because he spent his happiest years here," fan Betty Gunn said.

A feeling shared by Jackson’s brother, Jermaine, who would like Neverland do be his final resting place. Though there is no clear indication where he'll be laid to rest.

"This is his home, he created it, why wouldn't he be here. I feel his presence,” Jermaine Jackson said.

In an exclusive interview on the Today show this morning, Jermaine talked about the rumors Jackson may have died after abusing prescription drugs, and the effect it's having on the family.

"Hurt because Michael has always been a person who was against anything like that," Jermaine Jackson said.

Still the focus of the investigation into his death, which now includes Federal Drug Enforcement agents, seems to be centered on two bags of medication pulled from his home.

It's been a week of allegations and confusion surrounding his death as the focus for his family and fans continues to be saying goodbye.
