EL PASO - UTEP and the State of Texas want you to stop smoking.

Members of the university's Women's Health Initiative are teaming up with members from the state's Tobacco Prevention Initiative to encourage people to stop smoking. They're asking smokers to set a date to quit smoking.

On Thursday, UTEP students will get to take part in educational activities focusing on tobacco, and they too will be asked to set a date to quit smoking.

I always love how these health nut conventions never talk about alternatives to help ease somoeone of traditional smoking like E-Cigs LOL

Seriously its like telling a crack addict that its either cold turkey or suffer severe withdraw effects.

Way to go UTEP way to be educated and not talk about things like that. Some people cannot just quite your addicted to but winging yourself off it is possible till zero tobacco is needed.

Be smart UTEP

HERE is a reason NOT to start, or if you ARE smoking, a good reason to stop.
I have NEVER smoked a cigarette in my life, and I am now 61 years old. I can RUN up a flight of stairs, and NOT be Wheezing at the top of the stairs.
How many smokers HALF my age can say that they can do that??
My bones are a lot stronger because I have NOT declared chemical war on them with the Nicotine that the cigarettes would have put in my bloodstream.

Everyone should make the switch to using electronic cigarettes instead of regular cigarettes. Im a distributor for Bloog the electronic cigarette company based out of New Jersey, and here in El Paso Ive changed many peoples lives including myself and my Fiancee's. We have been Cigarette free for about 9 months now, and we both feel better Health wise, we can breathe now and taste our food. Analog cigarettes have over 500 chemicals and electronic cigarettes only have 5. You make the choice!
