International Musicians Share Talent with Local Students
EL PASO — World-renowned musicians shared their music as well as their knowledge with El Paso students.
Cellist Zuill Bailey and pianist Doris Stevenson performed for a group of students Wednesday morning at the El Paso Museum of Art.
Organizers said this event showcases the golden age of painting exhibit as well as music from this era.
The event was a way for students to learn first hand about music composed when the art was created.
"So we're combining these two showcase essentially soundtracks to these paintings in the same time period and history and for the kids it's very important and for the adults to know the history why this music was created why this art was created," Bailey said.
The musicians will play for area schools through Friday. The event was made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts.
