Increased Holiday DWI Patrols, El Pasoans urged to drink responsibly
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — If you're thinking of enjoying a few drinks and getting behind the wheel this Christmas Holiday, think again. The El Paso Police Department's DWI Task force and each of the five regional commands will be looking for impaired drivers on El Paso's roads.
In addition to EPPD's efforts, the El Paso Sheriff's Office will also be increasing patrols throughout the county by adding an additional 20 Deputies to the streets of El Paso County in high risk locations.
The increase in Law Enforcement begins December 23rd through January 1st throughout El Paso County.
If you've been out drinking and need a ride home, you're always encouraged to call a designated driver or a local taxi cab company to come pick you up.
Sun City Cab Co. and L&F Distributors are proactively seeking to prevent drunk driving during the holidays and offer a free cab ride as one option for individuals who might have had too much to drink.
