Illegal Dumping Causes Drainage Problems in Lower Valley

Years of illegal dumping in the Lower Valley is clogging up the areas canals. The canals are filled with used tires, old furniture and piles and piles of other trash.

Workers from the El Paso Water Utility spent the day cleaning a canal up. They hauled nearly 30 loads away, but say it will take nearly 1,500 more to get everything out.

Homeowners in the area are sick of what the trash does to their neighborhood.
