The identity of the body that was found in the Rio Grande yesterday has still not been confirmed by the El Paso Medical Examiner.

Yesterday we spoke with Siliva Gonzalez, who told us that the man found in the river was in fact her husband, Ezequiel Lessa.

The Medical Examiner's office told us that they did have a tentative identification on the man but that they are still trying to positively identify him. They will also be determining the exact cause and manner of death. They also  told us that the physician will be looking at him today and that they have been working on this case since yesterday.

You may remember from yesterday that Gonzalez told us she is a Mexican citizen and cannot cross over to the U.S. to see her husband's body.

The Medical Examiner's office told us that family members have yet to contact them or the Mexican Consulate as far as they know. But, they are working  closely with the El Paso Police Department to try to contact family members.
