The federal government is setting up a temporary holding center for hundreds of adults and children at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico.  The facility will add 700 beds and will only accept adults with children, not unaccompanied children.

Since October, 52,000 unaccompanied children have been picked up trying to cross into the United States, a 99 percent increase over last year.  The U.S. Border Patrol has also seen a record number of adults with kids crossing.

The minors create a unique problem for authorities because they can't be housed in adult detention centers, which in many places are the only available facilities.  That is why many families are now being given a court summons for an immigration hearing, and released.

New Mexico Congressman Steve Pearce (R), said as far as he knows, the immigrants will be deported in at least 10 days.

Pearce said the families will not be mixed with trainees at the training center.

"I think where the detainees would be is on the offside. I think the building is away from the main campus and sits neighboring to Artesia just not much to mix with the local population or endangering anyone. I think that's one of the main reasons why they chose it," Pearce said.

Pearce said the facility is expected to continue cycling families for about a year.

He also said a church in Anthony, New Mexico is raising money and food for the families.

Nobama does not seem to understand the security risk with housing these illegal aliens just a couple hundred yards from Federal Border Patrol Agents. The agents, thanks to FLETC and their idiotic rules, do not allow Border Patrol agents to have weapons while they are living on FLETC. Believe it or not, a lot of juveniles, mothers and fathers who are illegal aliens do indeed get extremely violent with Border Patrol Agents. WHAT A SECURITY RISK FOR THESE POOR AGENTS! Scabies risk also.

These illegal aliens, who have broken federal law, are living just a couple hundred yards from where the trainees are living. Also, there are many Border Patrol Agent instructors who live on the FLETC a couple hundred yards from where these illegal aliens are going to live. This is unacceptable because no one, including the Border Patrol Agent instructors who live on FLETC, are allowed to have weapons of any kind to defend themselves from any threat from these law breaking prisoners!! Pathetic
