Hundreds Enjoy Thanksgiving Meals at the Mayor's Luncheon

EL PASO- Hundreds of people enjoyed a warm Thanksgiving meal at the convention center today.

The Mayor and his wife hosted the annual Thanksgiving Day luncheon for the homeless and needy. Live music and the televised parade were part of the entertainment for everyone. Many volunteers gave their time to pass out plates of turkey with all the fixings.

James Stevens, enjoyed the feeling of community this afternoon. "It's my first year away from my family, but as it's going so far, it's very very nice..I miss these home cooked meals like this, they remind me of family."

Angelica Camacho and her family, who moved here from Juarez, enjoy this lunch every year. "I like the city, and together all the people."

This is the 6th year that the Mayor and his wife have hosted the event.
