Austin, TX (KTSM) — Texas Dept. of Public Safety officers confiscated several items from those gathering at the State Capitol for Friday's Senate vote on the abortion restrictions bill.
All bags were inspected before entering, and officers found a "one jar suspected to contain urine, 18 jars suspected to contain feces, and three bottles suspected to contain paint," according to a DPS spokesperson.
Officers also found significant mount of feminine hygiene products, glitter and confetti in possession of certain individuals.
All were required to be thrown out, or otherwise be blocked from entering the gallery.
DPS plans to continue these inspection through the end of the second special session.
