HUB of Human Innovation Gets $25K Boost From EPE

A $25,000 contribution from El Paso Electric to the Hub of Human Innovation will help them assist entrepreneurs in establishing their businesses. 

The check was presented Friday morning, and aims at helping the Hub nurture the development of small, technology-based businesses. 

The organization said they also assists technology-based businesses that are expanding, relocating, or simply need direction to move their business forward.

"The services offered by The Hub of Human Innovation are vital to small businesses who want to make their mark in the El Paso region," said Rocky Miracle, Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development and a member of The Hub's Board of Directors. "It is there to assist small business during the start-up period for when they are most vulnerable. El Paso Electric recognizes the importance of such programs to the economic development of the region."

The organization is currently focused on four main areas of development - Clean Energy, Life Science/Biomedical, Defense/Homeland Security, Aerospace, and Advanced Manufacturing.

"These areas are vital to the economic development of this region," said Cathy Swain, the Hub of Human Innovation's Executive Director. "With the help from businesses like El Paso Electric, we can continue to offer the services needed to assist with the advancement and support of entrepreneurship in our region."
