HORIZON CITY – A woman in Horizon City says she fears for her family's safety, after her mother allegedly received threats from a transporting company she had complained about.

Much has happened since we reported on Lillian Lopez-Clark's story, last night. In January, her mother's trailer burned down, and Lopez-Clark said a transporting company had taken advantage of the 75-year-old woman. She said the company had made a deal to clean up what was left after the fire, and that they'd keep the trailer's frame in exchange for money. Lopez-Clark said since the story aired, her mother fears for her life, because the owner of the transporting company called her last night, and threatened her.

“...telling her you better tell your daughter to stop because you don't know who you're dealing with,” said Lopez-Clark.

Lopez-Clark's son, Mark Clark, said then the crank calls came.

“Around 8 o'clock...we received another call just with somebody heavily breathing. We didn't know who it was because we didn't have caller ID,” stated Mark Clark, who lives with his grandmother.

Since then, the family said the elderly woman has not been able to sleep.

“She couldn't sleep last night..My son told me...the dog would bark and she'd be up...she's afraid to come out,” said Lopez-Clark.

The tension is stressing the family out. Lopez-Clark said they fear they may be in danger.

“We're being threatened...while we all know if something does happen to this little trailer, we know who it is,” added Lopez-Clark.

Lopez-Clark said she's filed a police report.

Meantime, the owner of the transporting company admits he did call the 75-year-old woman Monday evening, but denies he threatened her.

He's been watching too many episodes of the Sopranos. This transport company owner forgets that stupid people can be tracked and snared like animals when they begin to act like chumps. It's not like people don't know where you work and where you make your idle threats from, phone records can be easily obtained. If the douche bag wants to walk the walk then you make certain you take the mongrel out for a stroll that he won't soon forget.
