Homeowner Wants Speed Bumps Installed After Car Crashes Into Rock Wall For a Third Time
EL PASO — Police are searching for a suspected drunk driver who crashed into a rock wall in the Upper Valley, then fled the scene.
The accident happened at about 3:30a.m. Tuesday on River Bend Dr. and Sunset Dr.
According to police, the driver was on River Bend Dr. when he lost control, went over a guardrail then crashed into the rock wall in the back of a home.
Oscar Dominguez is the owner of the home whose wall was damaged. He said he helped the injured driver get out the car, then the driver ran away.
Dominguez said he wants something done because it is not the first time something like this happens.
"We were asleep and we heard a big rumble, and the ground kinda shook. We ran out, and well we actually knew what had happened because this is the third time it happens," said Dominguez.
Dominguez said he will consider approaching the City of El Paso to request speed bumps to slow drivers down.
