Holiday Workers Pay Increase
Working hard for the money and getting paid for it too. A survey by Careerbuilder found more than 6 in 10 employers plan to pay Holiday staffers $10 or more an hour this year, that's up 9% from last year.
The survey also found 39% of employers who are hiring seasonal help say they plan to transition some employees into full-time, permanent staff.
If you want to stand out, hiring managers recommend you provide above and beyond customer service, offer help instead of waiting to be asked for it, and let the employer know up front if you're interested in permanent employment.
