EL PASO — Next week marks the official start of the holiday travel season, and that means you can expect to see a lot of cars on the highway. AAA projects 43.6 million people will travel at least 50 miles from their home this holiday season. Ninety percent of those people are expected to drive. The Better Business Bureau has some tips to keep you save on the roads. First, create a car safety kit that includes blankets, flashlights, extra batteries, and water. Take your car in for a check-up to make sure you don't break down. Also start early and slow down. Give yourself extra time for your trip since you'll be one of millions traveling for the holidays.
