It's nearly impossible to walk through Aeropostale without bumping shoulders with somebody. Just one more place around town many shoppers are going for a great deal.
"I got a jacket for my two sisters, two hoodies, and that's all."
Ray Cuevas has been shopping since early this morning. He says he doesn't mind braving the holiday rush just to save a few bucks.
"Some stuff it's worth, there's a lot of good deals. Yeah, I would say yeah."
The clothing outlet is selling many items at half-price for the next three days. It's the kind of deal that has employees expecting profits to increase forty percent from last year. But with big mark downs come big crowds.
"It doesn't amaze me anymore."
Ruby Hinojosa has managed this store for five years. She tells us she's used to seeing a packed house on Black Friday and knows to be prepared.
"This is what every retailer lives for, Black Friday, and after the day's over and you have your money, it's celebration time."
But with the economy still on shaky ground, many shoppers, like Ray are keeping an eye on how much they spend.
"The economy is not good and we're trying not to spend that much."
Whether you're opening up your wallet or keeping it in your pocket, one thing is for sure...if you head out on this Black Friday, you might want to bring a little extra patience wherever you go.
