Holiday market sells local goods
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Black Friday is over and small business Saturday has come and gone, but holiday shoppers were given yet another chance to knock some items off their Christmas lists.
Ardovino's Desert crossing hosted their 9th annual holiday market Sunday. The event had nearly 90 vendors selling everything from home baked goods to jewelry, to Christmas ornaments. Restaurant owner Robert Ardovino says the event keeps growing every year.
"We attribute that to the great vendors we've got. We have such quality, handcrafted merchandise. Everything local, from the El Paso area and just every year growth," said Ardovino.
One customer said it was a nice change of gift options during the holiday season.
"I found the prices were very reasonable for unique things and so I've found that after a while, we get tired of shopping at the big box stores," said a shopper.
While the holiday event is over, a lot of the same vendors sell their items every Saturday at Ardovino's Desert Crossing winter market.
