Hispanics in U.S. at Risk For Heart Disease
A large study of the Hispanic population in the United States reveals a high prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors.
The study involved more than 15,000 Latino men and women living in the United States. The majority had lived here for more than a decade.80% of men and 71% of women had at least one risk factor for heart disease, like high cholesterol.
Those who'd lived in the United States the longest had the largest numbers of risk factors.
