EL PASO, TX — A 42-year-old woman was rescued from a trail in McKelligon Canyon.

Crews went to the canyon at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday about an injured hiker.

The woman was hiking with four family members, when she slipped, fell and hurt her ankle.

Crews were able to bring her down the trail.

"We have crews up there right now, started IV and pain management to the patient. They packaged her onto one of our stretches and they're bringing her down the mountain."

The hiker was taken to the hospital and is doing fine.
