El Paso - Governor Rick Perry has ordered Texas National Guard helicopters to the U.S./Mexico border.

The governor's office says the move is designed to block any spillover of Mexican border violence.

Texas military forces use the OH-58 Kiowa and UH-72 Lakota helicopters.

It is part of the initial phase of the governor's spillover violence contingency plan we first reported on Tuesday.

We are told the aircraft will fly between Brownsville and El Paso but their number and exact location are being kept secret for security reasons.

That's right!!! They say the violence hasn't spilled over into El Paso. It's been in El Paso for a while already. GOOD JOB Sen. Perry.
