EL PASO - Police are investigating a serious car accident in the Lower Valley.

It happened at 2:15 a.m. Monday.  Officers blocked off Socorro Rd. at Americas for several hours.  According to investigators, a car and a pickup collided head-on.

Several people were taken to the hospital, but police said there were no serious injuries.

Socorro Rd. is now open.
