EL PASO — In honor of fallen Trooper Javier Arana, Gov. Rick Perry ordered that Texas flags at all state buildings be flown at half staff until after burial scheduled for Friday morning.

Trooper Arana died Saturday morning after his patrol car was hit by another vehicle as he was responding to a pursuit in east El Paso. DPS is conducting an investigation into the crash.
