El Paso — From schools to transportation, there are many issues El Pasoans are facing and the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce hosted a panel discussion featuring our state's delegation to air out the concerns of many residents.
It is a rare chance for residents to speak face-to-face with state delegates, "To have that one opportunity to sit down and ask direct questions and hear directly back from them what they plan to do to help our communinty," the President of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, Richard Dayoub, says.
The open discussion featured the Sun City's state delegation including Representative-Elects Mary Gonzalez and Joe Moody.
"The same issues that we've talked over the last couple of years in the campaign now becomes time to deliver on some of that and turn it into legislation," Moody tells us. Issues which include the city's growth, transportation and education, "Developing UTEP, Texas Tech those are very important priorities for our delegation as well," Moody added.
With these topics on the table, there's more work to be done for the delegates and residents alike, "Let them know what you need from your perspective as a citizen of El Paso, as a voting citizen of the community what we need to do," Ayoub states.
