GRANDMA IN FREEZER

The body of an elderly woman who had been bedridden for years was found in a freezer inside a Maryland apartment building on Friday, weeks after she died.

Police discovered the body of Doris Lea Cooke, 83, Friday at a home in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Detectives said Cooke suffered from various medical conditions and had been bedridden for several years.

Family members told them Cooke passed away several weeks ago and that they put her body in the freezer.

Police did not immediately give a reason why.

The investigation into the woman's death continues.
