Republican presidential candidate and Texas Governor Rick Perry hit the campaign trail today in Virginia, where he spoke about how faith influenced his life's journey.

“My faith journey is not the story of someone who turned to God because i wanted to, it was because I had nowhere else to turn,” said Gov. Perry.

The presidential hopeful addressed thousands of students at Liberty University in Lynchburg.

The governor also addressed a luncheon in Richmond, where he laid out his priorities, if elected president.

“I know the first that I'll do when I walk into the oval office in January of 2013, it will be to sign an executive order to wipe out as much of Obamacare as I can."

Governor Perry also sounded much like Ronald Reagan when he said government isn't the solution-- but the problem to the nation's ills.
