Gov. Martinez welcomes new 70,000 acre community

Governor Susana Martinez and Secretary Jon Barela will join Governor of Chihuahua César Duarte and Chihuahua Secretary of the Economy Álvaro Navarro to announce the creation of a 70,000 acre, bi-national, community around the Santa Teresa-San Jeronimo border crossing.

It will be positioned to attract industrial and commercial businesses, include residential and retail development and incorporate state-of-the-art energy, water and sustainability technologies.

Ceremony will be held at Francis Aviation, 8100 Airport Rd. in Santa Teresa, NM at the Santa Teresa Airport, Friday afternoon.
