Texas Sailor's incredible journey home

It was an act of kindness from complete strangers. As Randy Carrasco buried his father on Thursday, he felt a sense of comfort knowing there are good people in this world who care, and who want to make a difference.

Randy got the call Friday morning on his way to a Navy award ceremony in Virginia. His father, 55-year old Raymond had been in an accident. Raymond's Jeep slid on an icy I-35 bridge and hit the guardrail. When he got out of Jeep, another truck lost control and hitting and killing Raymond.

This is where Randy's incredible journey home begins...a journey would unexpectedly bring him the comfort and faith he needed during such a dark time.

His Navy command immediately stepped up to show support. He was given a ride home to gather his things and taken to the airport. Southwest was able to get him on the last flight and the last seat to Atlanta. But this is where Randy says he encountered his first angel.
