El Paso Electric (EPE) welcomes Eddie Gutierrez as the new spokesperson responsible for EPE’s external communications and marketing activities.

Prior to joining EPE, Gutierrez was the managing director for a strategic marketing and public relations firm based in El Paso and Los Angeles, specializing in corporate and public affairs.

Gutierrez has worked with an impressive list of Fortune 500 companies, including Red Bull USA, and other organizations including the California Community Foundation, the United Farmworkers of America and the El Paso Downtown Management District.

After graduating from Del Valle High School in El Paso, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, and a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.

 El Paso Electric is a regional electric utility providing generation, transmission and distribution service to approximately 392,000 retail and wholesale customers in a 10,000 square mile area of the Rio Grande valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico. El Paso Electric has a net dependable generating capability of 1,852 MW.
