El Paso's First Baptist Church reprises Living Christmas Tree performance
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — El Paso's First Baptist Church will host its 48th annual Living Christmas Tree performance this coming weekend, December 14th and 15th, with live shows both days at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The one of a kind Christmas program is comprised of over 160 students and adults from the community and has been an annual tradition at the central El Paso church for 49 years.
First Baptist Church has been presenting the program annually since 1964. This year, the program will feature the Quintessential Brass, LCT Orchestra, Saul and Cory, Drumline, Children's Ensemble, and many soloists. This year, the program has special written music from songwriter Elvin Porflit.
“It is truly a sight to see and experience”, said First Baptist Reverend Jim Cleaveland.
Tickets are $5 each and can be reserved through First Baptist's website at www.fbcep.com. They are also available at the church's office, 805 Montana Ave. Tickets can also be purchased at the door, if still available. Church leaders encourage visitors to purchase tickets early, to avoid missing the spectacular performance. First Baptist will also have their nursery open, offering secure childcare free of charge during each performance.
