Give back this holiday season by being a Santa to a Senior

This holiday season, Home Instead Senior Care of El Paso wants you to be part of their Be a Santa to a Senior program.

The program collects, wraps and delivers gifts to lonely and needy seniors in El Paso County. It kicks off Thursday, November 7, and runs until December 13.

The trees will be up starting Saturday, November 9 at several Walgreens locations around El Paso.

Then on December 17, a gift wrapping event at will be held at Sunridge at Cielo Vista from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The following day, December 18, the gifts will be delivered to seniors in the community.\

"Be a Santa to a Senior gives back to older adults in our area, many of whom have had significant, positive influence on our lives," said Paul Petersen, owner at the local Home Instead Senior Care office. "During this season of giving, we encourage shoppers to buy a little extra to say thank you to these community members."

The organization says its need is especially great this year and would greatly appreciate the community's involvement.
