If you need to fill your gas tank, you're going to have to pay more.

The average price of a gallon of gas increased twelve cents over the past two weeks.

A survey shows the national average for a gallon of regular is $3.41.

Gas is cheapest in Billings, Montana, with an average price of $3.08 with the most expensive in Santa Barbara, California where a gallon is going for $3.89.

Locally, the average price for a gallon in El Paso is $3.26. In Las Cruces, you can fill up for $3.20 a gallon.

According to the survey, crude oil prices rose because of violence in petroleum-producing Venezuela and South Sudan.
