EL PASO – There's more pain at the pump.
Gas prices in El Paso jumped 2 cents in the past week. Regular unleaded now averages $2.99 a gallon.
Folks in the area are not taking well to the hike. Valerie Acosta is a practitioner who travels to New Mexico to work. She said she may have to work closer to home if prices keep rising.
“I probably will stop doing clinic in Las Cruces and just stay closer because it will definitely affect me,” said Acosta.
Gas prices across the nation now average $3.12 a gallon-- that's 13 cents higher than El Paso.

"We the people!" Only agree on one thing as a whole, no new taxes. If for just one day, "We the people" all over the US didnt buy gas for just one day, we wouldnt be paying anywhere near that for gas!
Try being someplace that actually has gas prices. Most of the SF Bay Area is paying more that $3.50 a gallon for the lowest grade gas. $2.99 is a steal!
