El Paso – Firefighters were on the scene of a gas leak on Oregon Street near the intersection of Yandell Monday.

Construction crews tell NewsChannel 9 they hit the gas line with a backhoe just before 10:00 a.m.

The leak is along a stretch of Oregon Street that is currently being repaved.  The leak was sealed quickly.
