Fundraiser held for Socorro residents still dealing with storm aftermath
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — More than a month after devastating rains, residents in Socorro are still dealing with the aftermath of the heavy rains in September.
Title Max and the El Paso Raiders football team worked together to collect canned food, clothes and blankets.
Several businesses and restaurants also contributed by donating 20-percent of their sales.
"We had a lot of flood victims in the Lower Valley and Socorro region. We want to give back to the community in anything that we can do possible," said Angel Ortiz with the El Paso Raiders.
Donations will be accepted through November.
