"When you believe that it's going to be unlucky and misfortunate for you, you're creating it too," said Grace the Psychic Lady.

Friday the 13th... just another day for some... but for those who suffer from "paraskevidekatriaphobia"... this day becomes one freaky Friday.

"Bad luck happens every single day to every single one of us, but because of the fact it's on Friday the 13th, it's more remembered. About 20 million people actually stop their daily routine because of the superstition," said Grace.

Today marks the third "Friday the 13th" of 2012... a day full of superstitions.

"Businesses, banks, hotels...they might omit the 13th floor because of people being afraid of it," said Grace.

According to "Grace the Psychic Lady"... these superstitions originate from the Bible's story of the last supper.

"Judas came to dinner and that made him the 13th guest on a Friday. Well, Judas, later on, was the one that betrayed Jesus and led to his crucifixion and then wound up later on, killing himself," said Grace.

Grace says some of her clients observe the day by receiving a reading... while others stick to avoiding black cats and walking under ladders.

"If it makes them feel safe and protected and if doesn't hurt anybody else. Absolutely follow your own superstitions," said Grace.

So while we have "Amazing Grace" here... what's in the cards for El Paso???

"I just feel there's a lot of change. The city's really getting ready to start making some advances...this could be with the sports complex coming in, but I really feel there's a lot of change coming in to not just El Paso, but in general for everyone," said Grace.

OK so I disagree with Grace the psychic and post my point with KTSM NEWS. First of all the origin of Friday 13 has nothing to do with the Last Supper. Judas Escariot was NOT the 13th apostle at last supper. He was one of the 12 apostles. Do the research. Friday the 13th orginated from the Knights Templars being torchered and executed by King Phillip IV in 1307 on Friday Oct 13th because they became too powerful and controversial.

FYI people, Friday the 13Th has nothing to do with the bible. Friday the 13Th was started way back when king Phillip of France got concerned that the knights Templar were getting to strong and powerful. Also with a quasi Pope at the time, they both (after accusing them of dozens of crimes against the church and the King of France) decided they were more of a threat than the protectors of Jerusalem. King Phillip ordered the mass killing of all the Templars on Friday the 13Th. Thus the beginning.
