Free HIV Testing in El Paso for World AIDS Day

EL PASO - There are 1,698 confirmed cases of HIV/AIDS in the El Paso area.

To try and keep that number from rising, the El Paso Department of Public Health is offering free HIV testing at a number of locations around the city for World AIDS Day today.

The free HIV tests will be available at the following locations:

UTEP East Union 500 West University from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
UTEP College of Health Sciences 1101 N. Campbell 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
EPCC Valle Verde Campus Cafeteria Annex 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Tonight the Health Department will hold a “Lights for Your Rights” Candlelight Vigil. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at El Paso Community College Valle Verde Campus located at 919 Hunter inside Room 428.


Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe is also offering free HIV testing Event. It's taking place from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. inside Premiere Cinemas at Bassett Place Mall.
