TEMPE, Ariz. (KTSM) — A Franklin High School graduate has pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend in Tempe, Ariz.
Luis Soltero, 22, pleaded to reduced charges of 2nd degree murder, kidnapping and vulnerable adult abuse.
Soltero was arrested last May for the murder of his girlfriend, Arizona State Univ. student 19-year-old Becky Kasper.
Police found her dead handcuffed in a bathtub in his apartment, beaten with a dumbbell.
Days after her death, Tempe police say Soltero walked into the police station after he unsuccessfully tried to commit suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning.
He graduated from Franklin High School in 2009.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 9th.
