El Paso City Manager Joyce Wilson has been named a finalist for the city manager position in Fort Worth.

After a national search, Fort Worth officials announced Wilson is one of four finalists.

They'll have another round of interviews on February 25.

Fort Worth started their search in October, when current City Manager Tom Higgins announced his retirement.

In October, Wilson announced she would be stepping down as El Paso’s city manager at the end of her contract in September.

Joyce Wilson is Fort Worth's gain and El Paso's loss! many naysayers wont give Joyce Wilson any credit, but since Joyce Wilson arrived in El Paso about ten years ago she has really done good for this city. One of her most notable accomplishments is the downtown redevelopment, as before her arrival to El Paso, downtown was dead due to neglect and lack of progress, she will be missed in the long run, because I doubt that someone else can be as good as she was!
