Fort Bliss soldier loses battle with cancer
FORT BLISS — Fort Bliss officials announced one of their soldiers passed away at William Beaumont Army Medical Center after a battle with cancer on Monday.
First Lieutenant Timothy G. Santos Jr. He joined the Army on May 12, 2010 as an AH-64 Apache helicopter pilot, and was serving on his first assignment as a plans officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division.
He is survived by his wife Karina and their two children Timothy and Aria. There will be a memorial service held in his honor on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at 10:30 a.m.
The service will be at 1st Armored Division Chapel, Bldg 11272, Biggs Rd, Fort Bliss, Texas
