Fort Bliss soldier arrested in connection with west El Paso stabbing

El Paso police made an arrest after an early morning stabbing.

They said at about 2 a.m. Friday, Kenneth Epley, 22 got into an argument with fellow Fort Bliss soldier David Schwiger inside the Little Bit of Texas bar in west El Paso. They said the fight then escalated in the parking lot. Police said Epley pulled out a knife and stabbed Schwiger multiple times in the head and torso.

Gabriel Perea, 28, who works security at the bar, was also cut several times on his hands as he tried to break up the fight.
Epley's been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
