FORT BLISS — Fort Bliss has the lowest suicide rate of all large army installations.
First Armored Division Commander, Major General Dana Pittard held a press conference Monday to talk about the post's suicide prevention programs as well as their plans to deal with the issue.
According to the Pentagon, more American Soldiers died from suicide than in combat last year, but Fort Bliss Officials say they had the lowest number of suicides in the U.S. Army.
Major General Dana Pittard is proud of this accomplishment and praises everyone's collective efforts in achieving it.
