FORT BLISS - Freedom Crossing at Ft. Bliss is cause for celebration today.

Grand opening ceremonies were held this morning for the world's first open-air shopping center on a military installation.

You will find a renovated 217,000 square foot exchange on post - more than twice the size of the old PX.

You will also find the first Buffalo Wild Wings as well as a 10-screen, 1,712-seat Grand Theatre.

Freedom Crossing broke ground on July 17, 2009.

The $100 million retail development will serve the Fort Bliss community, which includes more than 118,000 active military, retirees and their family members.

Funny I did not notice the Puppet Master Wilson and her puppet Cook making the rounds. Perhaps their proposed gouging of the Malls taxes kept them away?
