Former Officer Pleads Guilty To Aggravated Robbery

EL PASO - A former El Paso Police Officer has been sentenced to five years in prison.
The District Attorney's office says Alberto Madrid pled guilty to aggravated robbery this morning .
It was last October when he was arrested for stealing a money box from a wedding and then trying to run over the best man during his escape.
He resigned from the police department the next month after meeting with Chief Greg Allen.
He was dishonorably discharged.
