Former County Judge Anthony Cobos pleaded not guilty last week in a federal bribery case but
he tried to have the indictment thrown out completely.

Cobos was indicted in 2011, accused of taking bribes to get certain clients of his co-defendant, Lorenzo Hilario Aguilar, contracts to refinance county debt.

In a motion to dismiss the charge, Cobos' attorney said there was not enough evidence to prove he took bribes. Judge Frank Montalvo has yet to rule on the motion.

Cobos has it backwards, what needs to happen is for him to plead GUILTY so we can then throw him into prison for a very LONG, LONG time. The citizens of El Paso need a vacation from this guys criminal antics. HASTA LA VISTA you criminal you.
