Former El Paso Border Agent Killed in Arizona

GILA BEND, AZ - A native El Pasoan has been killed in the line of duty while patrolling the border in Arizona.

Eduardo Rojas, 34, interned with the U.S. Border Patrol in El Paso in April, 2000.

He has served in the Yuma sector of Arizona ever since.

Rojas and another agent were killed when their SUV hit a freight train near Gila Bend, AZ.

The Border Patrol says they were trying to capture some illegal immigrants at the time of the wreck.

Pictures show part of the wreckage covered with blue tarp.

The FBI is investigating the crash.

he did not formerly worked in El Paso ... He was from El Paso ...... what you meant to say is that a Border Patrol agent who formerly worked in El Paso was killed...?

Amazing. Over 60 comments were posted here over the death of a wild animal. Most were ranting and raving about how cruel the officer's that shot him were and were ready to crucify them. So far I'm the only one voicing my opinion on the tragic death of a true hero. Those commenting here before for an animal shoudl be ashamed if they don't return here and give respect to a fallen hero.
