EL PASO — A plea hearing for former El Paso County Commissioner Willie Gandara scheduled for Monday afternoon was postponed for Aug. 16, according to court documents. 

The original plea hearing centered around Gandara's arrest on federal drug trafficking charges with alleged accomplice Juan Canales, who plead guilty on the charges July 5.
