First full day of summer arrives, Borderland seeing above-normal temperatures
El Paso, TX (KTSM) — It's felt like summer for weeks, but Friday was the day.
The first full day of summer arrived, and temperatures have already topped 100 degrees ten days this year.
That's several days more than normal.
We typically only see 15 days of above 100-degree or warmer temperatures every summer, and we're already two thirds of the way there with more than two months to go.
With temperatures so warm, experts suggest drinking plenty of water during the summer and also wearing sunscreen.
