First ever swearing-in ceremony for San Elizario
San Elizario, Texas (KTSM) — In a series of firsts for the newest city in El Paso county, San Elizario's first city government will get sworn in Thursday.
Mayor-elect Maya Sanchez, and Alderpersons-elect Leticia Miranda, David Cantu, Miguel Najera Jr., Rebecca Martinez-Juarez, and George Almanzar will take the oath of office.
County commissioner Vince Perez will officiate.
It'll take place at noon at the San Elizario Veterans Memorial Plaza, on San Elizario Rd.
Then on Tuesday, new leaders will hold their first city council meeting at the San Elizario I.S.D. administration board room on Chicken Ranch Rd.
