New information about the suspect arrested for robbing a Northeast bank this afternoon. Authorities released a surveillance picture of 60-year-old Kevin Fitzpatrick. FBI investigators say he was unemployed and didn't have any more cash so he decided to rob the Bank of America on Dyer.
They say Fitzpatrick entered told a teller he was robbing the bank but the teller did not give him any money. When he was denied the cash, he sat down in the lobby and waited for police.
He waited for cops to show up and turned himself in peacefully. This is the city's first bank robbery of the year.
