Firefighters Respond to Multiple Fires Related to A/C Units

EL PASO — Emergency crews responded to an early morning fire inside of a West El Paso apartment complex.
Firefighters responded to reports of smoke inside of a unit at the Pear Tree Apartments on Bartlett Dr. at about 3:00 a.m. Monday.
According to firefighters, the smoke was coming from the air conditioning unit on the roof of one of the buildings.
Several apartment units were evacuated while crews put out the fire.
Fire crews did go to 10310 McCombs Monday morning around 6 am regarding reports of smoke in the area. The A/C unit did have an electrical short but there was no fire reported.
No injuries were reported.
